Samos

Products
 The most famous of Samos’s products is wine. Vines are growing in the north and centre part of the island – " the Muscat zone". Six commercial bottled wines are currently on offer:
The amber-coloured sweet dessert wine called "Samos Nectar"
The dry wine " Samaina Sec"
The " Samaina Special"
The "Samaina Golden (Dry White)
The Selano (Rose)
The Doryssa (Fruity Dry White)
Also no less than 1.567.000 olive trees are gown mainly in the south. Amongst them is a speciality olive, which is not grown for its oil, but for eating, called hamades.
In the Mili area citrus trees grow in great numbers. Another well -known product of Samos is honey produced especially in the green and fertile area of the village of Vourliotes. Also, nice handicrafts are created in the village of Karlovasi.
