Day 5 - MONDAY
Traditional Greek Breakfast at MADONNA
Workshop #5
Vegetables - Vegetables – Vegetables – stove top and baked
dishes using produce from local gardens – your lunch.
Visit a local vegetable garden – see where the food you
eat during your stay comes from.
Dinner at Agios Focas Taverna, famous for Lobster
Spaghetti & selected wines
Day 6 - TUESDAY
Traditional Greek Breakfast at MADONNA.
Day trip through the mountain villages for our:
Workshop #6
at Neochori for Olive & Olive oil tasting - held in a 200
year old oil press, now a museum of oil producing tools
and cooking implements. We continue to Plomari for our
Workshop #7
Ouzo Tasting - formal tasting and tour/discussion at the
Barbayanni Ouzo Distillery & Museum. This is followed by a
meze lunch.
On our circular return trip to Vatera we visit “Mylelia”
the old restored water mill, which grinds wheat for
organic homemade pasta, sold at “Fortnum & Masons”.
Dinner of traditional dishes at Vatera.
Day 7 - WEDNESDAY
Traditional Greek Breakfast at MADONNA
All day visit to Mytilini Town; visit the Castle ruins,
Archaeological Museum, Theofilos & Teriade Art Museums &
shop at LESVOSHOP for traditional LESVOS & LIMNOS
products
Visit the St.Raphael Monastery (actually a nunnery) on our
way to the Skala Mystegna taverna, for a pretty special
late lunch with fish specialities.
Evening dinner will be an array of mezedes at Taverna
Kalamakia
Day 8 – THURSDAY
