Birding Reports 2004
HONEYGUIDE WILDLIFE HOLIDAYS
In the Autumn of 2003, Honeyguide Wildlife
Holidays, Norwich, UK responded to our invitation to check
out the bird rich locations around the Vatera and
Polichnitos area and the quality services re:
accommodation, catering and support services, which we can
offer at competitive rates.
The outcome of that visit was more than positive so it was
no surprise that Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays chose to
ring the changes and use Vatera as their base camp for
their 2004 programmes:
7th –14th of April
2004 & 14th – 21st of April 2004.

Vatera in 2005 again; other well-known Birdwatching Tour
Agencies are doing the same for 2005, so why don’t you

Lesvos spring 2004 – by Dirk Raes.
From the 10th of April onwards, I guided for Vreemde
Kontinenten two nature-tours [10.04-17.04 Natuurpunt
Schelde-Leie ; 18.04-25.04 Natuurpunt National].
Afterwards I had the possibility to stay longer, till the
4th of May.
Our base camp was Madonna Studios in Vatera, an excellent
place which provided us great observations within
walking-distance. Check

More than three weeks of “Spring on Lesvos”
gave me the opportunity to have an impression
of the migration of certain birds.
Also the orchid-season revealed its secrets.
