Guided Birdwatching in Lesvos

Since 1999 we have been gathering valuable information regarding Birdwatching in the island of Lesvos. Thus we are yearly publishing in this web site and elsewhere Birding Reports for YOUR benefit.

Our intention has been to communicate and emphasize to the great numbers of birdwatchers (and Birdwatching Tour Agencies based in UK) who are already visiting the island for many years, that they are many more birding sites (so far under explored), around the island , other than the very well known ones around Skala Kallonis, offering greater diversity in fauna and flora, which can be explored in a more relaxed pace, thus positively enriching a birdwatching tour in Lesvos.

So far we can say that it has been a very thought provoking experience, but also a rewarding one!.

SPRING 2006

For the Spring of 2006 Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays are trusting us again (as they did in 2004 & 2005) and they are returning to Vatera for a 10 day program this time, heading the request of the 2005 group.

AUTUMN 2006

It is our opinion (based through gathering relevant information and cross referencing) that due to the fact that the well known book of Richard Brooks � Birding in Lesvos� is not giving adequate information about Autumn Birdwatching in Lesvos, so far birdwatchers at large are not considering Lesvos as an Autumn birdwatching destination and therefore they are limited opportunities for Guided Autumn Birdwatching Tours in Lesvos.

This is overlooking the readily available information /facts that prove otherwise. We are trying to correct this shortsightedness (to say the least), by providing FREE Information for the past two years (mainly to Birdwatching Tour Agencies based in UK).
